The Science olympiad foundation will be conducting the 5th International Mathematics Olymnpiad on December 8, 2011. Students currently studying in Classes 1-12 are eligible to appear for the examination.

Format of National Science Olympiad Examination:

The examination is offered in multiple-choice format. Two separate examinations are conducted for students of Class 1 and students of classes 2-12.

Examination For Class 1:
The examination conducted for class 1 will comprise of 30 questions carrying one mark each. The students are supposed to complete the examination in 60 minutes i.e. 1 hour. The question paper will be divided in the following two sections:
Section I: This is the logical and analytical reasoning section that comprises of 10 questions carrying 1 mark each.
Section II: This is the Mathematical reasoning section that comprises of 15 questions carrying one mark each.
Section III:  This is the everyday Mathematics section that compreises of 5 questions carrying one mark each. 

Examination For Class 2- Class 12:
The examination conducted for class 2 to class 12 will comprise of 50 questions carrying one mark each. the students are supposed to complete the examination in 60 minutes i.e. 1 hour. The examination will be divided in the following two sections:
Section I: This is the logical and analytical reasoning section that comprises of 20 questions carrying 1 mark each.
Section II: This is the Mathematical reasoning section that comprises of 20 questions carrying one mark each.
Section III:  This is the everyday Mathematics section that compreises of 10 questions carrying one mark each. 

Results of International Mathematics Olympiad:
The results of the examination will be declared after 7 to 8 weeks of the examination. Students can check their results on the official website of Science Olympiad Foundation or can check with their respective schools.
